These terms apply when you use www.sweetnothingsbym.com to order cookies, book a class or send a message to Sweet Nothings by M (“we”, “us”), a home bakery in Rosemont, Illinois. By placing an order or booking, you agree to them.
Cookie orders
- Sending a request isn’t a final order. We review every request and email you a confirmation with the final price and an invoice. The price you see on the website is an estimate; custom designs can change it.
- Your date is reserved once the invoice is paid. We may decline a request, for example if we’re fully booked. If we do, you haven’t been charged anything.
- Please order at least the number of days ahead shown on the order page.
Classes
- Classes are paid at checkout. Your spot is held for a short time while you pay (the checkout tells you how long). If payment isn’t completed in that time, the spot is released.
- Your booking is confirmed once payment goes through, and you’ll get a confirmation email.
Payment
Cookie orders are paid by invoice through Intuit QuickBooks, and classes through Square. Sales tax is added to cookie orders where it applies. Local drop-off fees are shown at checkout.
Changes, cancellations and refunds
Everything is made to order, so please get in touch as early as you can if your plans change. If you need to change or cancel, send us a message or reply to any of our emails. We’ll do our best to work with you; what we can refund depends on how close to your date it is and whether your cookies or class materials have already been prepared. If we have to cancel, you’ll get a full refund.
Pickup and drop-off
- Pickup: the address and pickup details are in your confirmation email.
- Drop-off: available to the ZIP codes listed at checkout. Please make sure someone can receive your order at the time we arrange.
- Once your order is picked up or dropped off, please store it as we advise so it stays fresh.
Allergies
Our cookies are made in a home kitchen that isn’t allergen-free, and most contain common allergens such as wheat, eggs and dairy. Please tell us about any allergies when you order. We’re happy to talk through options, but we can’t guarantee anything is allergen-free.
Promo codes and gift cards
- Promo codes give the discount shown when you apply them, can have an end date or a limited number of uses, and can’t be exchanged for cash.
- Gift cards keep any remaining balance for future orders until it’s used up. They can’t be exchanged for cash. If an order paid with a gift card is cancelled, the amount goes back on the card.
Photos you send
Inspiration photos you send are used only to understand and make your order. We won’t post them anywhere. If we’d like to share a photo of the cookies we make for you, we’ll ask first.
Using the website
Please use the website only to order, book and contact us, and don’t try to interfere with how it works. Designs, photos and text on the site belong to Sweet Nothings by M.
Our responsibility
We take great care with every order. If something isn’t right, tell us as soon as you can after pickup or drop-off and we’ll make it right where we can. Our responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on this page, with its date, is the one that applies to new orders.
